What is liposuction?

With the Tumescent Technique, a saline solution with local anesthesia and adrenaline are infused into the fatty area being treated. This enables the physician to maneuver a small instrument (cannula) connected to a vacuum, under the skin. Tiny incisions are made as entry points for the cannula. The cannula is maneuvered under your skin, suctioning away unwanted fatty deposits, revealing lean, attractive contours.

Who is a candidate for liposuction?

The best candidates for liposuction are people who have maintained healthy weight and lifestyles. Clients with realistic expectations, are slightly to moderately overweight, and have an understanding that liposuction is not a substitute for weight loss, are very satisfied with their results. 

Is the fat removal permanent?

Tumescent liposuction permanently removes fat cells and improves your body’s contour. While it is not a treatment for cellulite, many patients notice an improvement in the appearance of cellulite after liposuction. Likewise, the success of the procedure is typically measured in inches rather than pounds. Patients most frequently recognize the improved contours of their shape and increased self-image.
