These treatments are virtually painless as the products are now enhanced with lidocaine, a numbing agent. This recent change in dermal fillers has significantly improved the experience and the treatment for patients, making this immediately gratifying treatment option even more enjoyable.

Restylane® is a safe and natural cosmetic dermal filler made of non-animal stabilized hyaluronic acid (NASHA)™. Hyaluronic acid exists in the human body and provides volume and fullness to the skin. Restylane® is used to correct a large variety of facial wrinkles and folds.

Perlane is the same family of Restylane, only more viscous, ideal for deeper folds and restoring and reshaping areas of the face where there is significant volume loss.

How long does Restylane or Perlane last?

Results of hyaluronic acid based filler products are quite consistent, all lasting an average of 6-9 months. Many patients recognize their results for a full year or longer, however due to the individual and uniqueness of each patient, it is best not to suggest this will be true for all.

How do I know which product to choose or how much product I need?

The best advice with any treatment using dermal fillers is to discuss your concerns and expectations prior to treatment. The experience our providers have with patients and the products collectively, will be helpful as they will make product recommendations based on your needs. 

What areas of the face can be treated with Restylane or Perlane?

Restylane and Perlane are excellent product choices for almost any area of the face. It is safe to place this product in all areas of the cheeks, chin, lines and wrinkles, lips, under eye area, and is used to provide natural lift and structure to the aging face by treating the temples, hairline, and jawline.
